Location: 37 Promenade Des Anglais,
06000
Nice. It is a 15 minute walk from the Old Town and Nice Train Station.
Description: The Negresco, on the seafront in the heart of Nice, is one of the Riviera's super-glamorous hotels. This hotel's splendid early 20th-century architecture and enviable
seafront location overlooking the Promenade des Anglais have made it a
legend on French Riviera. Bedrooms are the last word in luxury and
magnificent works of art and antique furniture abound. Gourmets can
choose to dine in the hotel's Le Chantecler restaurant or top-class
brasserie La Rotonde , which boasts an unusual carousel-style decor
complete with wooden horses.
Review: The hotel itself is an art; a lot of art work and antique collections to
see. Our room is very huge and decent; bathroom is clean and well
equipped. All the staff we encountered are very professional and
resourceful.
The food in the Michelin Star Chantecler
Restaurant isdelicious and the ambiance in the Regency style dining
room isso relaxing which is superseeded by the ever attentive
professional staff. The presence of an individual sculpture on each table
was unique. Different floors have different designs and settings, each room has its
own charm. There are a total of six floors in this hotel. The hotel has a somewhat
museum feel with paintings, sculptures and art ever where the
eye can see.
The hotel offers valet and free parking which keeps it true to its name
and service; arriving guests worry about nothing but just check
themselves in and enjoy their stay. The entire staff is professional, friendly and very eager to help.
Each room has its own specific and unique décor inspired and modeled
from French Art/History and varying from Louis XIII to Art Deco. Upon
walking into the room you feel as though you are transported back in
time into an imperial maison/suite: ceilings are extremely high, the
bathroom is large and grand covered in marble, rooms are spacious, walls
are covered with fabric wall-papering and scattered with beautiful
furniture and art.
